On the morning of Friday, May 22, enemy aircraft targeted ambulance teams in the town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, resulting in the martyrdom of two paramedics from the Islamic Message Scouts:

- Paramedic and photographer Ahmad Hariri.

- Paramedic Ali Hussein Ghassani.

And civilians:

- Hussein Radwan Qasir.

- Ali Hassan Allama.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health condemned the crime, stating in a press release: "No more than two days have passed since Lebanon obtained a resolution by a qualified majority from the World Health Assembly to protect and neutralize healthcare workers in Lebanon, yet the Israeli enemy continues its persistent defiance of international resolutions, its evasion of commitments, and its disregard for legitimacy." "The enemy continued its violations, blatantly disregarding the World Health Organization's resolution and all provisions of international humanitarian law. It targeted paramedics with its heavy weaponry, targeting them not with military equipment but with emergency medical supplies, as they carried out their humanitarian rescue work. This resulted in more martyrs among these heroes who spare no effort and rush to fulfill their duty despite all the certain dangers."

وزارة الصحة اللبنانية أدانت الجـ.ـريمة، وقالت في بيان لها "لم يمض يومان على حصول لبنان على قرار بغالبية موصوفة من الجمعية العامة لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لحماية الأطقم الصحية في لبنان وتحييدها، حتى واصل الـ.ـعـ..ـدو الإســـ..ـرائيـلي تحديه المتمادي للقرارات الدولية وتنصّله من الإلتزامات واستهتاره بالشرعية".
وتابعت "استمر الـ.ـعـ..ـدو في انتـ..ـهاكاته التي تضرب عرض الحائط قرار الصحة العالمية وكل ما ينص عليه القانون الدولي الإنساني، فاستهـ.ـدف بآلته الحر بية الثقيلة مسعفين لا يحملون أي أداة عسـ.ـكر ية بل معدات طوارئ إسعافية لأداء عملهم الإنساني الإنقاذي، مما أوقع مزيدًا من الشــ.ـهداء في صفوف هؤلاء الأبطال الذين لا يبخلون بأعز ما يملكون ويهرعون للقيام بواجبهم رغم كل المخاطر المؤكدة".
