Legal Agenda | Deadly Strikes in Mefdoun: Three Ambulance Teams Directly Targeted

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Israeli enemy targeted ambulance teams from the Health Authority, the Al-Risala Association, and the Nabatieh Ambulance Association in #Mefdoun, southern Lebanon, with three consecutive strikes.

Four paramedics were killed and six others were wounded.

- The Nabatieh Ambulance Association published a video, filmed by a camera mounted on one of its paramedics, documenting the third strike, which occurred while they were on duty. The video demonstrates the importance of paramedics carrying cameras to document the crimes committed against them. In the video:

All vehicles are ambulances containing medical and first aid equipment.

All those at the scene are paramedics visibly wearing their paramedic uniforms.

No military or combat equipment is visible in the video.

According to the Legal Agenda's legal team, the Mefdoun attack constitutes a #war_crime, as the successive strikes directly targeted ambulance teams from different agencies, despite their clearly visible paramedic identification.

- نشرت جمعية إسعاف النبطية فيديو التقط بكاميرا مثبّتة بأحد مسعفيها، يوثّق الغارة الثالثة التي وقعت أثناء عملهم. يثبت الفيديو أهمّية وجود كاميرات بحوزة المسعفين لتوثيق الجرائم التي تستهدفهم. في الفيديو:
. جميع السيارات هي سيارات إسعاف في داخلها معدّات طبية وإسعافية.
. جميع من في الموقع هم مسعفون يرتدون لباس الإسعاف بشكل ظاهر.
. لا يظهر في الفيديو أي أثر لمعدات عسكرية أو قتالية.
بحسب الفريق القانوني في المفكّرة القانونية، ترقى جريمة مفيدون إلى #جريمة_حرب كون الضربات المتتالية استهدفت فرق الإسعاف من أجهزة مختلفة بشكل مباشر، وذلك بالرغم من ظهور هويتهم الإسعافية بشكل واضح.
