Health Ministry: The Enemy Continues its Violations and Disregards the WHO Resolution on Protecting Medical Personnel


Paramedics Killed and Wounded in Deir Qanoun al-Nahr and Hanawiya

No sooner had Lebanon secured a resolution, by an overwhelming majority, from the World Health Assembly to protect and protect medical personnel in Lebanon, than the Israeli enemy continued its persistent defiance of international resolutions, its disregard for commitments, and its contempt for international law.

The enemy persisted in its violations, blatantly disregarding the WHO resolution and all provisions of international humanitarian law. It targeted paramedics with its heavy weaponry, targeting them as they carried no military equipment, only emergency medical supplies to perform their humanitarian rescue work. This resulted in further martyrdom among these heroes who spare no effort and rush to fulfill their duty despite all the certain dangers.

In a raid on Deir Qanoun al-Nahr in Tyre district, 6 people were killed, including two paramedics from the Al-Risala Association, one of whom was also a media professional, and a Syrian girl, in addition to 6 wounded, including 3 paramedics from Al-Risala and a Syrian woman.

إستشهاد وجرح مسعفين في دير قانون النهر وحناويه


لم يمض يومان على حصول لبنان على قرار بغالبية موصوفة من الجمعية العامة لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لحماية الأطقم الصحية في لبنان وتحييدها، حتى واصل العدو الإسرائيلي تحديه المتمادي للقرارات الدولية وتنصّله من الإلتزامات واستهتاره بالشرعية.

وقد استمر العدو في انتهاكاته التي تضرب عرض الحائط قرار الصحة العالمية وكل ما ينص عليه القانون الدولي الإنساني، فاستهدف بآلته الحربية الثقيلة مسعفين لا يحملون أي أداة عسكرية بل معدات طوارئ إسعافية لأداء عملهم الإنساني الإنقاذي، مما أوقع مزيدًا من الشهداء في صفوف هؤلاء الأبطال الذين لا يبخلون بأعز ما يملكون ويهرعون للقيام بواجبهم رغم كل المخاطر المؤكدة.  

في غارة على دير قانون النهر قضاء صور إستشهد 6 من بينهم مسعفان لجمعية الرسالة أحدهما إعلامي أيضا، وطفلة سورية، إضافة إلى 6 جرحى من بينهم 3 مسعفين للرسالة وسيدة سورية.
