(Previous Incident Code: Ob184 )

The US reportedly carried out four drone strikes in north Waziristan on January 1st, 2011. The first three described in Ob181, Ob182 and Ob183 while the fourth and last is described below.

The fourth related strike of the day took place in Boya where another vehicle was struck, killing four alleged militants, local and international media reported.

However, reports where not clear where exactly the strike took place. Only CNN said a fourth strike took place in Boya, Miran Shah, whereas the remaining said it took place in Datta Khel, possibly coinciding with the reports from Ob183, also taking place in Datta Khel.

Thus, with risk of double reporting, the four killed and four wounded could possibly be civilians as some reports merely described the fatalities as “people.”
