In an alleged US strike in Angor Adda, south Waziristan, local and international media reported that up to five people were killed and four were injured, possibly counting civilians.
An attack on a house and car believed to be aimed at Maulvi Nazir‘s militant group killed at least three and as many as five people, it was reported, though it was unclear whether civilians were among the fatalities.
While some specified that the dead were militants, reported by some as including three “Arabs”, others merely referred to the killed as “people”, suggesting civilian harm. For example, an internal Pakistani document, published by the Bureau, said this strike killed three “locals.” Also, due to the condition of the dead bodies, The News reported that “there was no way to ascertain the identity of the slain people.”
According to Long War Journal, four militants were left wounded.
All reports attributed the strike to a US drone, reportedly launching a Hellfire missile.
