A possible U.S. drone strike on Shin Warsak village, in Tehsil Bermal, on August 19 2011 reportedly killed between 2 and four ‘militants’, whilst some local tribal sources insisted that three were local tribesmen. One source identified two injured. Local rescuers said that the bodies were completely disfigured and could not be identified. Some sources state that ‘foreign fighters’ may have been amongst those killed. Official Pakistani records published by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism of the attack state that three persons were killed, all of them were ‘non-locals’, and that they were affiliated with Maulvi Nazir’s militant group.

Two missiles reportedly struck the house of either Ahmad Noor or Muhammed Nauroz. It is not clear if these men were killed. The house was reportedly completely destroyed.
