Airwars assessment
A Hungarian photojournalist was reportedly injured in an LNA or Emirati airstrike on the Salaheddin neighbourhood of Tripoli. However, pro-LNA sources claim he was in fact abducted by the GNA.
The Libya Observer said: “A Hungarian journalist working for RTL TV was wounded in a drone strike by warlord Khalifa Haftar’s UAE-backed air force in south Tripoli last night.”
The GNA Burkan Al Ghadab operation claimed that “Hungarian photojournalist Szabó Gergely of RTL TV was injured in the bombing of the UAE air force supporting the rebel war criminal Haftar in the Salaheddin axis and was taken for medical treatment.”
Oded Berkowitz tweeted: “Pro-LNA sources claim that Szabó Gergely Hoang Viet, a journalist from Hungary, was kidnapped from his hotel in Tripoli, while GNA sources claim he was wounded in a UAE airstrike and evacuated for medical treatment.”
The local time of the incident is unknown.

Reports of the incident mention the neighbourhood of Salaheddin (صلاح الدين), for which the generic coordinates are: 32.846389, 13.161667. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
