On October 8th Tk Yahrouq Kl shy reported: “The death of the young Mohammed Abdulmoula Khamid Al-Atrash caused by wounds as a result of warplanes shelling 3 months ago on Al-Sharif Hotel area in Qasr Bin Ghashir.”

Airwars assessment

Four civilians were reported killed in an airstrike on Jebel Uweinat by an unknown belligerent. While the majority of sources said those killed were combatants, the Libya Observer said they were civilians.

It said: “On another level, spokesperson of warlord Khalifa Haftar’s self-styled army, Ahmed Al-Mismari denied that the bombing was coordinated with their forces, describing the four victims as ‘terrorists’.”

Alwasat quoted the LNA spokesperson Ahmed al-Mismari saying that four terrorists were killed in the strike.

Mohammed Mahjoob said five AL Qaeda members were killed.

Mohammed al-Bass named six ISIS members supposedly killed in the attack (four of them pictured below).

Both LNA and US AFRICOM denied responibility for the strike.

Two decomposed bodies were found in a vehicle, reportedly victims of an earlier airstrike.

Qnat Aljamahiriya reported that two decomposed bodies were found by camel breeders. The bodies were in a four-wheel drive video, which had evidently been targeted in the “desert southwest of Sirte.” Based on the report, it appeared the men had died weeks earlier.

Several other sources, including Sebha now and Abdalslam Farag Almahde, reported identical language.

A woman reportedly died on March 5th after she sustained severe injuries from shrapnel after an airstrike on March 3rd from what was described as a foreign aircraft.

The aircraft hit the 12 Buildings in Ganfouda approximately on March 3rd in support of the LNA campaign.

Alnabaa reported: “On Sunday, one of the women trapped in Ganfouda district, west of Benghazi, was killed by injuries sustained by foreign air strikes, according to a source from the Benghazi rebel council.

The source said the news channel that the woman spent two days injured after being hit by shrapnel from the bombing of foreign aircraft supporting the Karama militia, which targeted the places of refuge of families in the 12 buildings.”

Alnabaa TV reported that a foreign aircraft conducted airstrikes in Ganfouda. Its source in the Benghazi Shura Council didn’t confirm any casualties.

According to Alnabaa, Ganfouda has also been hit by artillery shelling in the early morning hours and civilian infrastructure was heavily targeted in the strike. Alnabaa suspected civilians in the buildings but couldn’t confirm any casualties.

Various local sources reported that Hanan bin Sirteya Gaddafi, a dermatologist from Sirte, was killed in an airstrike in a house in the Giza district in Sirte.

Alwasat and Rihab News claimed that she and her husband, Osama Shuaib Zayani, joined ISIS once it took over Sirte and that she leaves behind two children. Zayani was described in reports as a prisoner (presumably of the GNA).

None of the sources named the belligerent who conducted the strike.
