On September 25, 2024, Kamel Karaki, a cameraman for Al-Manar TV who had worked for the channel for over 25 years, was killed by an alleged Israeli airstrike on the town of Al Wantara in Southern Lebanon. The alleged airstrike reportedly hit Kamel’s home and caused widespread destruction in the area. Multiple sources confirmed Kamel’s death.

On Tuesday, September 24th, 2024, at least five civilians, including a civil defence member and two women, were killed in the Al-Barid neighbourhood of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Southern Lebanon, reportedly by an alleged Israeli double-tap airstrike. At least two militants were also killed in the attack. Al-Manar TV also reported that several civil defence personnel from
