Airwars assessment

Several civilians were allegedly injured by LNA shelling on Souq Al Jumaa in Tripoli.

Tk Yahrouq Kl shy reported: “A shell landed and a number of civilians were injured in front of Al Qaryo Mosque in Souk Al Jumaa area behind Mitiga Airport.”

In a different post it said several civilian cars were damaged.

Libya Alahrar TV, however, contested the claim and wrote: “A source from the airport said a shell landed near the airport on Wednesday afternoon, near the mosque of Qaryo without causing any human or material damage.”

Other sources reported airstrikes near and at the airport but did not mention civilian harm.

Al Motawaset said that the LNA had declared conducting strikes on Mitiga. It did not mention any shelling in the area around the airport.

The local time of the incident is unknown.
