Libya Alahrar TV said six people were injured.

The Libya Observer tweeted: “A foreign worker from Ghana was killed and six others wounded in a rocket attack by warlord Khalifa Haftar’s armed groups on Ghot Alroman area in Tajoura, east Tripoli on Thursday.”

The GNA-led Burkan Al Ghadab operation said: “A Ghanaian worker was killed and 6 others were injured as a result of the bombing of the Haftar terrorist militia in Ghout Al-Rumman, Tajura, this afternoon.

The six injured from Niger and Ghana, all injured by shrapnel in different parts of the body

One worker’s leg was amputated and another hand was broken.

Two Libyans were injured in the shelling, and their car was damaged as a result of the shelling.”

The Field Medicine and Support Center provided the highest casualty toll with four killed and eight wounded.

On September 21 2011, alleged US airstrikes on the town of Shaqra in Yemen’s southern Abyan province killed six to seven alleged AQAP militants. One outlet, AFP, stated that three alleged militants were injured in the strike. There are no reported cases of civilian harm.

Aden Online and Long War Journal put the number of alleged militants killed at seven, whereas AFP put the number at six. AFP was the only outlet to report that militants were injured in the strikes.

The outlet Aden Online claimed the strikes were carried out by American warplanes while others, such as Neoclassical Blog citing the news outlet Al Arabiya, stated that the strikes were conducted by US drones. Long War Journal reported that when they contacted the US for comment, the US military officials “would not comment on airstrikes, but said US forces are supporting Yemeni forces”.

The strike in Al-Shaqra corresponded with others throughout Abyan, including the town of Al-Mahfad, where numerous sources claimed that US strikes killed four alleged AQAP militants (USYEM037-B).

“The Turkish army and allied mercenaries have carried out an artillery attack on the villages of Sheikh Hilal and Kafr Naya in Shehba region at around 17:30 local time Thursday afternoon. The bombardment on Kafr Naya injured a 42-year-old civilian named Khalid Oso and caused material damage on the houses of the residents.The man has been taken to the Afrin Hospital in the Fafin district.”

Between three and eight Al Qaeda militants were killed and others were wounded in a reported US drone strike near the village of Hosoon, close to the city of Marib on the 12th of May, 2012. The attack came just 30 minutes after another airstrike (USYEM077-B) in the east of Wadi Harib district, close to Shabwa, according to local security officials quoted by CNN. Al-Masdar Online also quoted local sources who indicated that the two strikes were linked, and stated that the attack near the village of Hosoon was carried out against two cars which had escaped the earlier strike, close to Shabwa. Overall, sources reported that up to 13 militants were killed between the two incidents (USYEM076-B and USYEM077-B).

Deutsche Welle (DW) reported on the strike near Hosoon village with reference to the Agence France Presse (AFP). AFP quoted a local tribal leader who said that “an American drone fired two missiles at two vehicles, killing five Al Qaeda members.” Reports on the number of people killed in the strike vary. Al-Masdar Online stated that the strike hit “two cars in the all-Hasoon area in Marib, killing three”, whilst Xinhua quoted a security official who said that “a US drone strike hit another Al Qaeda convoy in the Husoon area in Marib, killing at least eight Al Qaeda fighters.” However, many other news sources, including CBS and ABC News, stated the number of militants killed in the attack to be five. Mareb Press was the only source to mention wounded militants, reporting that “others” were wounded in addition to the two militants killed. According to Mareb Press, the vehicles in the convoy were “two Vitara and Shas”.

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism later referred to the specific names of those killed in the drone strike, quoting information released by the Yemen Ministry of Information. The four men were listed as: Mohsen Abdul-Rahman Al-Youssefi, Saleh Mohammed Jaber Shabwani, Abu Mutib Al-Yamani and Abu Laith Al-Hadrami. Additionally, the Bureau of Investigative Journalism added that in October of 2012, AQAP identified two other men killed in the strike as Abu Mohammed al Shihiri and Abu Abdullah al Sanaani.

This drone strike came as Yemeni armed forces were “preparing to launch mass attacks” on Al Qaeda positions across the province of Abyan, according to Xinhua. Reuters also quoted a Yemeni military official who said that “A force of about 20,000 men is taking part in this offensive, ordered by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to free the cities of Zinjibar and Jaar.”

Two civilians were killed and four more injured, all from the same family, by indiscriminate shelling on the Keramia area of Janzur.

Tk Yahroug Kl shy said: “A family has arrived at 4:00 a.m. to the Al-Zawiya Street Hospital after a shell landed on the house in the Keramia area, which resulted in the death of the father and his wife in care, and his daughter is in serious condition, and three children were injured by simple shrapnel.”

The GNA-led Burkan Al-Ghadab operation wrote: “Izz al-Din Saqr and his daughter were killed yesterday morning as a result of a missile falling on the house in which he resides in the Keramia area, which led to the death of him and his daughter, and his wife and other daughter were seriously injured.

Izz al-Din and his family were residing in the Khalat Al Furjan area, before he was displaced from it to the Hadaba Project area as a result of aggression. When Haftar’s militia arrived, he was forced to migrate back to the Keramia area.”

Multiple reports stated that Yemeni military officials acknowledged that a drone strike killed at least two suspected militants, as missiles struck two cars travelling between the Marib and Hadramout provinces in eastern Yemen on August 28th, 2012. While American drones have been utilized in this area, Yemeni military officials did not specify the nation involved.

The strike generated a wide array of reports on Twitter. Anawen.net (@anaweny) tweeted an image of the charred automobile, while shababhor.net (@shbab7or) reported that three suspected militants were killed, including one individual described as “a leader”. Ain News tweeting as @Ainyemen announced that a Saudi national, Salam al-Saiari was among those who were killed in the strike. Yemen Post also reported on the death of al-Saiari as part of a drone strike that killed two people inside of a car that was significantly burned, adding that the area where the strike occurred was “unpopulated.” @NoonArabia tweeted that the strike was carried out by an American drone, and this was supported by Yemeni journalist Nasser Arrabyee who reported that those who were killed were suspected Yemeni and Saudi Al Qaeda operatives. Gregory D Johnson, tweeting from @gregorydjohnson, noted that one car did escape from the attack.

The Xinhua News Agency from China reported that a U.S. drone strike killed three suspected Al Qaeda members, according to a Yemeni military official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, who also noted that the Saudi national who was killed had allegedly joined Al Qaeda in 2011.

Saba, the Yemeni news agency, stated that the destroyed vehicle was “loaded with large quantities of weapons and explosives”. The attack as described as killing “two dangerous elements”.

Reuters released a report the day after the strike and specifically credited that the United States owned the drone that was used in the strike. Three missiles were allegedly launched with one missile striking a car, leaving two charred bodies that were pulled from the vehicle. The Yemeni government described the individuals killed as “Islamic militants”.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), a civilian was killed when allegedly Turkish forces opened fire on farmers in Deir Ghosn in Hasaka, Syria on May 17th, 2020.

SANA said that “local sources told SANA’s reporter in Hasaka that at Sunday afternoon, Turkish occupation forces opened fire at farmers working in their fields in Deir Ghosn near the Turkish borders, killing one of the farmers.”

@NadiaAbidd wrote that “a civilian was shot dead by the #Turkish occupation forces while he was working on his farmland west of Al Malikiyah town in #Hasaka countryside.”

A US airstrike killed seven ISIS militants “traveling in a truck in a rural area of al-Bayda” governorate on October 25th 2017, a US Central Command spokesperson told CNN News, one of two declared strikes against the group in the area that day.

This confirmed local reports that US drone strikes had killed at least six militants between Yakla and Dhi Kalb, both in Qayfa area of Bayda, in the evening of October 25th.  There were no known reports of civilian harm.

Sources, including @demolinari, suggested that one of the two strikes targeted the vicinity of Ayshamah, between the Yakla and Dhi Kalb areas, while another targeted the Baqarat area, which lies to the west of Ayshamah. Since CENTCOM told CNN that a second strike (USYEMTr109) took place “about five miles to the west” of this event, reports regarding the Ayshamah area have been associated by Airwars with this strike. It remains possible that any one of these reports instead referred to the strike detailed in USYEMTr109.

While CENTCOM briefed that seven were killed in the strike, local sources told Salmashad and Al-Masdar Online that six alleged ISIS militants were killed between Yakla and Dhi Kalb, in the Ayshamah area, while travelling in a car.

Reports of the overall death toll from the two strikes varied. Multiple sources, including AFP, suggested that a total of 13 militants were killed in the two strikes, though US Central Command told CNN that nine had died. At the lower end, VOA reported that “at least seven” had been killed, while one Twitter user, @intelyse_arabia, suggested that six had died in the course of both strikes.

Though most indicated that the targets were ISIS-affiliated, some claimed that AQAP militants had been killed. According to Al-Hudud and some local-language Twitter users, one strike killed three AQAP leaders and four “others” in a car, though it was unclear which specific strike this referred to.

The strikes came less than ten days after US forces targeted ISIS militants in Yemen for the first time, in strikes (USYEMTr105 and USYEMTr106) on two training camps that cumulatively killed over 50 fighters, according to the US.

The US military conducted two airstrikes targeting ISIS in Yemen on Wednesday, killing nine ISIS militants, according to US Central Command, which oversees US troops in the region.

This is only the second time the US has targeted ISIS in Yemen with a series of strikes, suggesting US planners are increasingly concerned about the terror group's presence there.
Military strikes there have historically targeted al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
"Ongoing US counter-terrorism operations against ISIS in the ungoverned spaces of Yemen continued today with two strikes, which killed nine terrorists," said US Army Maj. Josh Jacques, a Central Command spokesperson.
The first strike successfully targeted seven armed ISIS fighters traveling in a truck in a rural area of al Bayda. The second strike killed two armed ISIS fighters in a parked truck located about five miles to the west of the first site, Jacques said.
In the last 10 days, US forces have successfully targeted and removed 60 ISIS terrorists from the battlefield in Yemen.
A series of strikes on two ISIS terror training camps in al Bayda on October 16, killed more than 50 terrorists, disrupting the organization's attempts to train new fighters.
ISIS used the camps to train aspiring militants to conduct terror attacks, conducting courses in assault tactics and the use of AK-47s, machine guns and rocket-propelled grenade launchers.
Yemen has been wracked by warfare and has become a proxy battleground for Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Yemen's minority Houthis, who are Shiite, rebelled against the Sunni-led government, backed by Saudi Arabia.
That spurred the Saudi-led coalition to launch airstrikes in support of Yemen's government against rebel targets in Yemen in March of 2015.
The United Nations has called the conflict a "humanitarian catastrophe."
Government forces and the Saudi-led coalition also have fought against the al Qaeda branch in Yemen and ISIS, both of which are anti-government Sunni terror groups.
