Airwars assessment

Up to three civilians were allegedly killed and four more injured by LNA shelling on the Zawiyat Al Dahmani area of Tripoli.

Hona Souq Al-Khmies said five shells landed in the area and added: “Two policemen were killed at the Ministry of Interior, including insurance patrols and a civilian.

The wounded are 2 civilians, one of whom is a Red Crescent volunteer.”

The GNA-led Burkan Al Ghadab operation posted: “Three citizens, including two members of the insurance patrols of the Ministry of Interior, were martyred and several injuries were recorded in the bombing of the Haftar terrorist militia in the Zawiyat Al Dahmani area and the port of Tripoli, near the Maitika airport.”

Libya Alahrar TV reported the same casualty toll quoting the Ministry of Health.

The incident occured in the evening.

Two civilians were killed and four more injured, all from the same family, by indiscriminate shelling on the Keramia area of Janzur.

Tk Yahroug Kl shy said: “A family has arrived at 4:00 a.m. to the Al-Zawiya Street Hospital after a shell landed on the house in the Keramia area, which resulted in the death of the father and his wife in care, and his daughter is in serious condition, and three children were injured by simple shrapnel.”

The GNA-led Burkan Al-Ghadab operation wrote: “Izz al-Din Saqr and his daughter were killed yesterday morning as a result of a missile falling on the house in which he resides in the Keramia area, which led to the death of him and his daughter, and his wife and other daughter were seriously injured.

Izz al-Din and his family were residing in the Khalat Al Furjan area, before he was displaced from it to the Hadaba Project area as a result of aggression. When Haftar’s militia arrived, he was forced to migrate back to the Keramia area.”

Up to six civilians were allegedly killed and up to 27 more injured by allegedly LNA shelling on the Abu Salim neighbourhood of Tripoli.

Tk Yahrouq Kl shy reported two deaths.

Hona Souq Al-Khmies repored two dead and eight injured.

The Field Medicine and Support Center said one person was killed and 27 more civilians injured.

The GNA-led Burkan Al-Ghadab operation posted: “6 dead, dozens wounded, and extensive damage to private and public property, from the destruction of homes and cars in the bombing of the Haftar terrorist militia on citizens’ homes in the densely populated Abu Salim municipality.”

The LNA itself declared the shelling without mentioning civilian harm: “The artillery was able to target the ammunition of the criminal militia Ghanwa inside its headquarters in the heart of Abu Salim in a process that is surprising, accurate and painful.”

Three civilians were reported killed and 19 others including children injured in alleged LNA artillery attack on the coastal road of Tajoura, Libya on May 6th, 2020, according to local sources.

Libya Observer reported that “Khalifa Haftar’s forces have carried out indiscriminate rocket attacks on the coastal road in Tajoura, eastern Tripoli, killing three civilians and injuring 19 others.”

The Center for Field Medicine and Support (FMSC) identified the three victims as Fouad Omar Oraibi, aged 35, Fathi Ramadan Atta’eb, aged 35 and Ibrahim Muhammad Shubar aged  25.

In addition, three children from the same family were injured. Rudeina Othman Ammar, Rayan Othman Ammar and Maria Othman Ammar.

Civilians were rushed to the Heart Hospital of the The Center for Field Medicine and Support which conducted delicate operations to few of the injured, while transferred some other critical ones to Tripoli’s Central Hospital.

A family of three, including a child and a woman, was killed in alleged LNA artillery strikes on their home in Al Hadaba Al Badri on May 5th, 2020, according to local sources. Two other civilians were injured.

Libya Observer reported that “on Tuesday [May 5th] night, Haftar’s forces killed an entire family in Al Hadba Al Badri area in south Tripoli as they shelled their house, leading to the killing of a man and his wife, as well as their son”, adding that the parents died on the spot, while their son died due to his injuries hours later in the hospital.

The Field Medicine and Support Center identified the victims as Muhammad Hilal Hafeez (45), Hajar Al Sadiq Al Bourawi (35) and Al Mu’tasim Billah Muhammad Hilal (10), adding that civilians Faraj Ali Dou (55) and Hisham Ali Bashir (age unknown) were injured in the shelling.

The FMSC added that “they transferred the bodies of the martyrs and a wounded person to the Abu Salim Accidents Hospital and two wounded people to the University Hospital, Tripoli, for treatment under the supervision of the Field Medicine and Support Center.”

Airwars assessment

Two civilians were allegedly killed by a GNA or Turkish drone strike near Bani Walid.

Osama Olabidy tweeted that two young men from the Mashashiya tribe were killed while trying to selling to sell fuel in Bani Walid. In a previous tweet he said they were driving a Toyota Tundra.

218Tv wrote that “there were reports of drone air strikes belonging to Al-Wefaq [GNA] forces to points south of Bani Walid, and the shelling targeted a civilian Tundra car … and killed two people from the Mashashiya.”

The no to military rule Facebook page said the two were in fact LNA member and had been killed by airstrike on Watiyah air base.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Airwars assessment

Two civilians were killed and up to four more injured by LNA shelling on the Zanata neighbourhood of Tripoli.

Tk Yahroug Kl shy said: “Sincere condolences to Professor Zahra Bizan on the death of the late God Almighty, her nephew, Youssef Abdel Hamid Bizan, who passed away, and his neighbor, Aqila Borkhis, with a missile in front of their house in Zanata, near the Natif mosque in Tripoli this morning.”

The Field Medicine and Support Center, Ambulance Services Libya and the GNA-led Burkan Al Ghadab operation all named two dead victims and three wounded.

The Libya observed quoted the GNA saying that the LNA conducted the shelling and said that according to the Field Medicine and Support Center two were killed and four wounded, including three children.

The incident occured at 12:14:00 local time.
