Up to five civilians including two children were reported killed, and up to five including children and women were wounded, in alleged Russian forces or Syrian regime airstrikes and/or artillery attacks on Al Bawabiya in Aleppo’s southern countryside in Syria on July 25th, 2019. Three of the victims and two of the injured belong to Al-Bakri family.

Step News Agency stated that “in the southern countryside, the town of Al-Bawabiya was hit by air strikes from the warplanes, killing three people and wounding five.

The same source elsewhere reported that “the regime warplanes attacked al Bawabiya which led to the death of two children, five wounded civilians and huge destruction.”

Meanwhile, Smart News stated that “two children were killed and a woman was wounded by a bombardment of the warplanes on the village of Al-Bawabiya south of Aleppo.”

Syrian Network for Human Rights reported that “at least 3 civilians, including two children (brothers), killed as Syrian regime warplanes fired missiles on al Bawabiya village in Aleppo governorate southern suburbs, on July 25, 2019.”

Horrya News raised the death toll to five saying that “The warplanes of the Assad regime committed a horrific massacre in the town of Al-Bawabiya, west of the Aleppo governorate, causing at least five martyrs.”

The Syrian Civil Defence – Aleppo branch named the victims and injured, showing that five of them are of the same family.

Both Russian forces and the Syrian regime were named as the active belligerent in the attack by various sources.

The time of the incident is unknown, as some sources said it happened in the morning while others reported that it took place in the afternoon.
