Two civilians were reported killed, and five to nine injured, in airstrikes on Hazzareen, Idlib, on August 11th.
Smart News documented “destroyed houses on August 11th, 2019, in the village of Hazareen in southern Idlib governorate in the north of the country as a result of a Russian airstrike that targeted civilian houses, killing a young man and wounding five others.”
Meanwhile, Macro Media Center reported that “a civilian was also killed and more than nine others were injured, including a woman, after Russian warplanes bombarded the town of Hazareen near Kafranbel city south of Idlib.”
Syrian Network for Human Rights named the man killed as Abdul Rahman Abdul Halim al Hmoud.
Following these initial reports, sources reported the death of another man who succumbed to his injuries two days after the attack.
Syrian Network for Human Rights stated that “Anas Walid Abdul Aziz died on August 13th, due to wounds sustained on August 11th, as fixed- wing warplanes we believe were Russian fired missiles on Hazareen village in the southern suburbs of Idlib governorate.”
Seven sources attributed the attack to Russian forces, while three others named both Russia and the Syrian regime in reports of the incident.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
