Six civilians including a woman and five children died in an alleged Russian or regime airstrike on Abdita, according to local media.
Many sources blamed regime barrel bombs for the civilian harm, though there were also claims that Russian conducted airstrikes.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights reported: “at least five civilians (four girls and a woman) were killed as Syrian regime forces helicopters dropped barrel bombs on Abdita village in the southern suburbs of Idlib governorate”.
The Syrian Human Rights committee reported on 16 December 2019 that child Abdullah Al-Zaidan died because of wounds he endured in the attack, only to be added to the other victims: Noor Ali Zidan (child), Iman Ali Zidan (child), Walaa Muteeh Al-Jazzar and her two daughters whose names are not available at the moment.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
