Four or five people, including a woman, were killed and between ten and seventeen civilians, including two children, injured after alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrikes on a market in the village of Ma’saran on December 17th, 2019, according to local sources.
Smart News Agency reported that five civilians were killed and seventeen others wounded as Syrian regime warplanes targeted a popular market in the village.
A reporter of Idlib Media Center said that “the Syrian warplanes type ‘SU22’ targeted the town of Ma’saran, east of Idlib, and the target was direct to the popular market for the town, which led to the occurrence of five martyrs, including a woman, and many wounded and great damage to the property, and the regime forces again targeted the town with heavy artillery that killed civilians”.
@Shahbapress reported “four martyrs and about ten wounded civilians”. Shaam News Network blamed Russian forces for the airstrike.
According to the Syrian Network for Human Rights, “Syrian regime fixed- wing warplanes fired missiles on the main market in the middle of Ma’saran village in the eastern suburbs of Idlib governorate, resulting in casualties, partially destroying several shops and severely damaging market’s facilities, on December 17.”
