Airwars assessment
Two children were killed and two other civilians injured in alleged Russian airstrikes on the village of Jidraya, Aleppo governorate, on January 21st, 2020, according to local sources.
Step Agency reported that “the Russian warplanes targeted the village of Jadraya, near the town of Ma’arat al-Na`san in the western countryside of Aleppo, with a missile strike that killed two children and wounded two others”.
The Local Coordination Committees of Syria reported that the Russian raid occurred at 1:22 PM, killing two girls. Syrian Civil Defence in Aleppo identified the victims as Ain Al Khaled (4 years old) and Retaj Al Khaled (5 years old). The Syrian Network for Human Rights wrote that the girls were family members.
SN4HR reported that the Russian raid targeted the main water tank of the village, partially damaging the tank.
The incident occured at approximately 1:22 pm local time.
