A 60-year-old woman was reportedly killed and an unspecified number of other civilians wounded in Al Atarib, Aleppo, following alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrikes on her home in morning of February 2nd, 2020.

A number of sources identified the victim as Fatimah Akoush. According to Zaman Al Wasl, she was 60 years old. @Razak0000 reported that she died as a result of her wounds. DAD Organisation reported instead as the only source that the civilian killed was named “Zakaria Abbas Bakir“.

The sources mentioned that other civilians had been wounded as well. The White Helmets added that a child was among the injured. According to Tamuz, some of the injured were in critical condition.

The majority of sources cited Russian forces as culprit, which reportedly conducted airstrikes with warplanes on the town. @Ahmad_1alshble claimed as the only source that the Syrian regime was behind the attack. @NEDAAPOST specified that the belligerents conducted “several air raids”.

Zaman Al Wasl stated that the market in the center of the city was hit. Photographs indicate serious material destruction to the home of the civilian killed.

The incident occured in the morning.
