Airwars assessment
Two men and one child were killed in alleged Russian airstrikes on the outskirts of Idlib near Qminas village during the night of February 4th to February 5th, 2020, according to local sources.
Ahmed Sheikho, director of media for the Syrian Civil Defence in Idlib, told SMART News Agency that “a Russian plane targeted two cow farms located in the vicinity of the city, near the village of Quminas, killing three civilians”. Idlib Plus stated the farms were poultry farms. On photos posted by the SCD, an injured cow is seen.
According to Edlib Media Centre, the bombing occurred around dawn, whereas other sources stated it occurred in the evening. EMC mentioned that the attack was a rocket attack.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights reported that “three civilians from the same family were killed on February 4, as fixed-wing warplanes we believe were Russian fired missiles on a farm in southeast of Idlib city in which their corpses were pulled out from under the rubble on February 5”.
The Syrian Civil Defence reported on Facebook that the airstrikes killed two men and one child.
The incident occured during the night.
