Airwars assessment
Up to four civilians were reported killed and a number of others were wounded in alleged Russian forces or Syrian regime airstrikes on Taseel in Dara’a on July 17th, 2018 according to local sources.
@Step_Agency tweeted “Warplanes launched several airstrikes targeting the town of Taseel, which is under the control of the Islamic State, in the Yarmouk Basin in the countryside of Dara’a.”
@syria7ra tweeted “Yassin Ali Abu Khashraif, a five-year-old child was killed by the Russian shelling that targeted the town [Taseel], and there are several wounded, including serious injuries.” Later sources said that Amjad Muhammad Atallah Abu Khashreef, Yassin’s father was also killed.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that 2 citizens including a child, were killed as a result of bombardment by a warplane believed to be Russian, which targeted areas in Tasil town which is controlled by Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, which resulted in the fall of a number of wounded.
The Syrian Networo for Human Rights said four people were killed ” Four civilians killed as Syrian/Russian regime warplanes fired missiles on Tseel town in Daraa governorate western suburbs, on July 18th, 2018.”
Both the Russian forces and the Syrian regime were blamed for this incident. @syria7ra, SMART Agency and Fawzi Ghazlan accused Russia, while the Syrian Network for Human Rights and @omar_hariri_dr said both Russia and the Syrian regime were reponsible.
