Airwars assessment
A child was injured and two people were killed by two alleged US drone strikes on the district of Bani Qais in Hajjah, Yemen during the morning of 30 March, 2025.
A photograph shared by Facebook user Abu Hassein Shabien showed remnants of a fire next to what appears to be a charred body. Quoting one of the Houthi-run ministries, Almashhad reported that the “third [person – likely the child] was seriously injured”.
Almashhad News claimed that the strikes “targeted citizens’ homes in a remote area of the district”, adding that this led to “significant material damage to public and private property” and that emergency response units transported the deceased and injured. Other sources specified that the strike targeted a Hilux truck. However, @SmyrY45413 stated that the targets of the strikes were “hideouts, warehouses, and manufacturing workshops belonging to the Houthi militia”.
Images posted by sources Al-Haqiqa News and @YEMENNEWS1 have not been archived within this incident as it has been identified as relating to different events in Yemen from previous airstrikes.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all pointed to the United States. Facebook user Mohamed Farag specified that drones were involved in the strike.
The incident occured in the morning.
