A woman, identified only as Batoul, was killed by an alleged US airstrike on the “October 14 neighbourhood” on 26 April, 2025. Missing under the rubble, her body was found more than 16 hours after the strike.
A video shared by @TvAlmasirah showed Batoul’s husband, “search[ing] for his wife under the rubble of his destroyed home”. Their young son is clearly visible. Another video shared by the same source shows rescue teams searching extensively thought the rubble, sifting through concrete with their hands while Batoul’s mother “awaits her daughter’s fate”. Facebook user Majid Al-Ahmadi shared the video of Batoul’s body being uncovered; wails are heard. A video shared by Facebook user Kolod Ali shows Batoul’s daughter, numb after the realisation of her mother’s death.

Reports of the incident mention a residential building being struck in the 14th of October neighbourhood (حي ١٤ اوكتوبر) in the vicinity of the Al Sab’een district (حي السبعين) to the south of Sanaa City (صنعاء).
