Operation OKRA–ADF Airstrikes for the period 07–21 Sep 17

Over the period 07–21 Sep 17, AirTask Group strike operations focused on supporting Iraqi Security Forces operations to clear and secure Anah, Bayji, Sharqat, Sagrah, Rayhanah, and Rawah from Daesh forces. On 07 Sep 17, Australian F/A-18 Hornets supported Iraqi Security Forces during operations in the vicinity of Anah. The Australian aircraft struck Daesh defensive position s and a Daesh logistics vehicle with guided munitions. On 09 Sep 17, Australian F/A-18 Hornets supported Iraqi Security Forces during operations in the vicinity of Anah. The Australian aircraft struck a Daesh VBIED (Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devi ce) with a guided munition. On 12 Sep 17, Australian F/A-18 Hornets supported Iraqi Security Forces during operations in the vicinity of Bayji. The Australian aircraft struck a Daesh heavy weapons site with guided munitions.
