French President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday that the Israeli bombing of the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, which resulted in the deaths of civilians and journalists, "cannot be tolerated."

During a call with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Macron added: "This Monday morning, new Israeli raids on a hospital in Gaza resulted in the deaths of a large number of civilians and journalists. This is intolerable."

He stressed that "civilians and journalists must be protected under all circumstances, and the media must be able to carry out their mission freely and independently to report the reality of the conflict."

The call also addressed developments related to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, with both sides stressing the need to intensify efforts to stop the war.

Israel bombed Nasser Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip, killing at least 20 people, including five journalists working for Reuters, the Associated Press, and other news agencies.

وأضاف ماكرون، خلال اتصال مع أمير قطر الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني: "صباح اليوم الاثنين، أسفرت غارات إسرائيلية جديدة على أحد مستشفيات غزة عن سقوط عدد كبير من المدنيين والصحفيين، هذا أمر لا يمكن التسامح معه".

وأكد أنه "يجب حماية المدنيين والصحفيين في جميع الظروف، ويجب أن تتمكن وسائل الإعلام من أداء مهامها بحرية واستقلالية لنقل واقع النزاع".

كما تناول الاتصال المستجدات المرتبطة بالأزمة "الروسية – الأوكرانية"، حيث شدد الجانبان على ضرورة تكثيف الجهود الرامية إلى وقف الحرب.

وقصفت إسرائيل مستشفى ناصر في جنوب قطاع غزة؛ مما أسفر عن مقتل 20 شخصًا على الأقل بينهم 5 صحفيين يعملون في وكالتي رويترز وأسوشيتد برس وغيرهما.
