The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip confirmed on Tuesday morning the martyrdom of Palestinian journalist Hassan Islayh, as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ renewed targeting of him while he was receiving treatment inside Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, after he was injured in the first bombing more than a month ago. The Government Media Office said in a statement, a copy of which was received by Arabi21, that the number of martyred journalists since the beginning of the war of genocide on the Gaza Strip has risen to 215, after announcing the martyrdom of our colleague Islayh, who worked as director of the Alam24 News Agency. The statement indicated that “the occupation assassinated him in a bombing that targeted him while he was receiving treatment inside Nasser Medical Complex, after he had been injured in a previous assassination attempt and was still receiving treatment.” The statement condemned in the strongest terms the systematic targeting, killing and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli occupation, calling on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists, and all journalistic bodies in all countries of the world to condemn these systematic crimes against Palestinian journalists and media professionals in the Gaza Strip. He held the occupation, the US administration, and the countries participating in the crime of genocide, such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, fully responsible for committing this heinous and brutal crime. He called on the international community, international organizations, and organizations related to journalistic and media work in all countries of the world to condemn the crimes of the occupation, deter it, and prosecute it in international courts for its ongoing crimes, and bring the criminals of the occupation to justice. He also called for serious and effective pressure to stop the crime of genocide, protect journalists and media professionals in the Gaza Strip, and stop the crime of killing and assassinating them. A new war crime For its part, Hamas considered "the assassination of Isleh while he was receiving treatment at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, a new war crime that requires international action to stop violations against Palestinian journalists." "The occupation assassinated journalist Hassan Aslih while he was receiving treatment at Nasser Hospital, in a new war crime added to the occupation's black record," the movement said in a statement, explaining that "the occupation insists on eliminating free voices and suppressing the truth without any regard for any humanitarian or legal value" by directly targeting journalists. The movement considered this crime a "flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws" that reflects "the occupation's moral and media bankruptcy," calling on the international community, including its UN bodies and journalistic and human rights institutions, to "assume their legal and moral responsibilities and take urgent action to stop the occupation's crimes against Palestinian journalists." Hamas also called for "imposing deterrent sanctions" on the Israeli occupation. It is noteworthy that Aslih was injured as a result of the bombing of a journalists' tent last month, near Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza, which resulted in the martyrdom of journalists Helmi Al-Faqawi and Ahmed Mansour, in addition to the injury of other journalists. The Israeli bombing led to a fire in the tent, and a number of people were injured as a result of the fire. The injured were transferred to Nasser Hospital. International organizations indicate that the current war is witnessing one of the highest rates of targeting of journalists in modern conflicts.

أكد المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي في قطاع غزة، صباح الثلاثاء، استشهاد الصحفي الفلسطيني حسن إصليح، جراء معاودة جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي استهدافه أثناء تلقيه العلاج داخل مجمع ناصر الطبي بمدينة خانيونس، بعد إصابته بالقصف الأول قبل أكثر من شهر. وقال المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي في بيان وصل "عربي21" نسخة منه، إن عدد الشهداء من الصحفيين منذ بداية حرب الإبادة الجماعية على قطاع غزة، ارتفع إلى 215، بعد الإعلان عن استشهاد الزميل اصليح، الذي يعمل مديرا لوكالة علم24 للأنباء. وأشار البيان إلى أن "الاحتلال اغتاله بقصف استهدفه أثناء تلقيه العلاج داخل مجمع ناصر الطبي، وذلك بعد أن كان قد أصيب في محاولة اغتيال سابقة وما يزال في مرحلة العلاج". وأدان البيان بأشد العبارات استهداف وقتل واغتيال الاحتلال الإسرائيلي للصحفيين الفلسطينيين بشكل ممنهج، داعيا الاتحاد الدولي للصحفيين واتحاد الصحفيين العرب، وكل الأجسام الصحفية في كل دول العالم إلى إدانة هذه الجرائم الممنهجة ضد الصحفيين والإعلاميين الفلسطينيين في قطاع غزة. اقرأ أيضا: نحو 40 شهيدا في غزة إثر استمرار المجازر الوحشية.. بينهم عائلة كاملة وحمّل الاحتلال والإدارة الأمريكية والدول المشاركة في جريمة الإبادة الجماعية مثل المملكة المتحدة بريطانيا، وألمانيا، وفرنسا؛ المسؤولية الكاملة عن ارتكاب هذه الجريمة النَّكراء الوحشية. وطالب المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات الدولية والمنظمات ذات العلاقة بالعمل الصحفي والإعلامي في كل دول العالم بإدانة جرائم الاحتلال وردعه وملاحقته في المحاكم الدولية على جرائمه المتواصلة وتقديم مجرمي الاحتلال للعدالة. كما طالب بممارسة الضغط بشكل جدي وفاعل لوقف جريمة الإبادة الجماعية، ولحماية الصحفيين والإعلاميين في قطاع غزة، ووقف جريمة قتلهم واغتيالهم. جريمة حرب جديدة من جانبها، اعتبرت حركة حماس، "اغتيال اصليح أثناء تلقيه العلاج في مجمع ناصر الطبي بمدينة خان يونس جنوب قطاع غزة، جريمة حرب جديدة تستدعي تحركا دوليا لوقف الانتهاكات بحق الصحفيين الفلسطينيين". وقالت في بيان: "الاحتلال يغتال الصحفي حسن اصليح أثناء تلقيه العلاج في مستشفى ناصر في جريمة حرب جديدة تضاف إلى سجل الاحتلال الأسود"، موضحة أن "الاحتلال يصر على تصفية الأصوات الحرة وكتم الحقيقة دون أي اعتبار لأي قيمة إنسانية أو قانونية"، باستهدافه المباشر للصحفيين. وعدت الحركة هذه الجريمة "انتهاكا صارخا لكل القوانين الدولية والإنسانية" بما يعكس "إفلاس الاحتلال أخلاقيا وإعلاميا"، مطالبة المجتمع الدولي بهيئاته الأممية ومؤسسات الصحفية والحقوقية بـ"تحمل مسؤولياته القانونية والأخلاقية والتحرك العاجل لوقف جرائم الاحتلال ضد الصحفيين الفلسطينيين". كما دعت حركة حماس إلى ضرورة "فرض عقوبات رادعة" على الاحتلال الإسرائيلي. يشار إلى أن اصليح تعرض لإصابة نتيجة قصف خيمة للصحفيين الشهر الماضي، بجوار مجمع ناصر الطبي في غزة، والذي أسفر عن استشهاد الصحفي حلمي الفقعاوي وأحمد منصور، إلى جانب إصابة صحفيين آخرين. وأدى القصف الإسرائيلي إلى اشتعال النيران في الخيمة، وإصابة عدد من الأشخاص بسبب الحريق، وجرى نقل المصابين إلى مستشفى ناصر. اقرأ أيضا: "الحوثي" تعلن ارتفاع عدد ضحايا الغارات الأمريكية على مصنع بصنعاء وتداول صحفيون رسالة أخيرة للشهيد الصحفي حسن اصليح، تحدث بها تعليقا على استهدافه من قبل الاحتلال في المرة الأولى واستمرار التحريض عليه. وقال اصليح: "نحن من أول الحرب ونحن في الميدان ولا نقاتل، فجيش الاحتلال يبرر هذه السياسة ويحاول أن يطمس كل صحفي وكل مبادر بمعلومات وادعاءات كاذبة (..)". ونعى صحفيون وناشطون الشهيد اصليح، مؤكدين أنه كان صحفيا شجاعا ورمزا من رموز العطاء، وصعدت روحه لكن بقيت كاميرته شاهدة على نضاله وعطائه ونبله، وعلى جريمة الاحتلال التي لا تغتفر. ومنذ بدء العدوان الإسرائيلي المستمر على قطاع غزة، يتعرّض الصحفيون الفلسطينيون لانتهاكات ممنهجة، شملت القتل، والاستهداف المباشر، وتدمير المقار الصحفية، وقطع وسائل الاتصال. وتشير منظمات دولية إلى أنّ الحرب الحالية تشهد واحدًا من أعلى معدلات استهداف الصحفيين في النزاعات الحديثة.
