I write to you of heroism yet to be recorded in books, and of a steadfastness witnessed only by those who were here, on our sacred land that has always been the source of our strength and hope. The resistance in Afrin and its mountains, in Shahba and its camps, and now at the Tishrin Dam, embodies the highest ideals of patience and determination. I will forever remember every moment, every heartbeat, and every glance in the eyes of our heroes who fought to keep our dream alive.

But amidst this darkness, there is a light in the heart of every resistance fighter, a flame of hope that will never be extinguished. Yes, I may not live to see victory myself, but I believe that my city of Afrin will be liberated one day. Afrin, whose history is marked by civilization and dignity, and which has witnessed the most sublime forms of resistance against the most oppressive forces. From here, from the land of the dam, I say to you: Do not despair, do not let despair creep into your hearts, for victory is inevitable.

I dream On the day Afrin returns to the embrace of its people, its streets will once again be filled with joy and hope, as they were in its beautiful days. I hope its children will return to play in its alleys without fear, and that the sun of freedom will shine upon its mountains, dispelling the darkness of occupation. Afrin, which I have loved with all my heart and which has always been my source of inspiration, will never be broken, no matter how long it takes.

But the hope for liberation stems not only from our strength in resistance, but also from the thought of Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who taught us what freedom truly is, how to resist tyranny, and how to break oppression. From his thought, we learned that freedom is not merely a slogan, but an energy that resides deep within us. Through his vision, we know that victory will not come as easily as some believe, but it will be achieved through an unwavering will.

My faith in the strength of the freedom fighters who have carried the message of Leader Öcalan, and through whose hands the doors of victory will open, remains unshaken. These fighters, whose souls are intertwined with the ideals of freedom and courage, are the ones who will write the history of Kurdistan and Afrin. It is their resolve that will pave our way back.

I write to you with the certainty that hope still beats in the hearts of those who believe in life and freedom—in the hearts of my mother, my father, my sisters, my friends, and my people. You, the heroes who will carry the banner of liberation, you are the ones who will write the end of this dark chapter. I know that you will bring light to Kurdistan and to Afrin, and you will fulfill our dream of return and dignity.

To our struggling people, I urge you to remain steadfast—and never lose sight of your goal, no matter the sacrifices. Kurdistan deserves it, and Afrin, its land, and its olive trees deserve it. For eight years, we have struggled, and we can struggle and resist even more for every inch of this sacred land on which our fighters, men, women, and children have fallen. Your resistance will remain an inspiration for generations to come.

My friends, I have not only been a journalist, but a witness to history, and I will remain so until my last breath. I wish I could live to see Afrin liberated, but even if I am not granted this honor, I am at peace. "You, you are the ones who will achieve this great victory."

لكن وسط هذا الظلام، هناك نور في قلب كل مقاوم، هناك شعلة أمل لا تنطفئ. نعم، قد لا أعيش لأرى النصر بنفسي، لكنني مؤمن أن مدينتي عفرين ستتحرر في يوم من الأيام. عفرين، التي حملت في تاريخها ملامح الحضارة والكرامة، والتي شهدت أسمى صور الصمود أمام أعتى قوى الظلم. من هنا، من أرض السد، أقول لكم، لا تيأسوا، لا تدعوا اليأس يتسلل إلى قلوبكم، لأن النصر قادم لا محالة.

أحلم بيومٍ تعود فيه عفرين إلى أحضان أهلها، لتغمر شوارعها الفرح والأمل كما كانت في أيامها الجميلة. أتمنى أن يعود أطفالها ليلعبوا في حاراتها دون خوف، وأن تشرق شمس الحرية على جبالها لتطرد ظلام الاحتلال. عفرين التي أحببتها بكل جوارحي، والتي لطالما كانت مصدر إلهامي، لن تنكسر مهما طال الزمن.

لكن الأمل في التحرير لا ينبع فقط من قوتنا في المقاومة، بل من فكر القائد عبد الله أوجلان، الذي علمنا كيف تكون الحرية، وكيف نقاوم في وجه الاستبداد، وكيف نكسر القمع. تعلمنا من فكره أن الحرية ليست مجرد شعارات، بل هي طاقة تسكن أعماقنا. من خلال رؤيته، نعرف أن النصر لن يأتي بالسهولة التي يعتقدها البعض، ولكنه سيتحقق بإرادة لا تعرف الاستسلام.

إيماني بقوة مقاتلات ومقاتلين الحرية الذين حملوا رسالة القائد أوجلان، والتي بأيديهم ستتفتح أبواب النصر، لا يتزعزع. هؤلاء المقاتلون، الذين ارتبطت أرواحهم بفكر الحرية والشجاعة، هم من سيكتبون تاريخ كردستان وعفرين، عزيمتهم هي التي سترسم لنا طريق العودة.

أكتب لكم وأنا مطمئن أن الأمل لا يزال ينبض في قلوب من آمنوا بالحياة والحرية في قلب أمي و أبي وأخواتي وأصدقائي وشعبي. أنتم، الأبطال الذين ستتسلمون راية التحرير، أنتم من ستكتبون نهاية هذا الفصل المظلم. أعرف أنكم ستجلبون النور لكردستان و لعفرين، وستحققون لنا حلم العودة والكرامة.

إلى شعبنا المناضل أرجو أن تظلوا صامدين ـ وأن لا تغيبوا عن هدفكم مهما كانت التضحيات، كردستان تستحق وعفرين وأرضها وزيتونها تستحق، لطالما نضالنا لمدة 8 ثمانية أعوام نستطيع النضال والمقاومة أكثر فأكثر من أجل شبر من هذه الأرض الطاهرة التي استشهد عليها مقاتلينا ومقاتلاتنا ونساء ورجال وأطفال، ستبقى مقاومتكم ملهمة للأجيال القادمة.

أصدقائي، لم أكن فقط صحفياً، بل كنت شاهداً على التاريخ، وسأظل كذلك حتى آخر لحظة في حياتي. ليتني أعيش لأرى عفرين تتحرر، ولكن إن لم يكن لي هذا الشرف، فأنا مطمئن أنكم، أنتم من ستحققون هذا النصر العظيم".
