Mohamed El-Reefi, a Palestinian freelance photographer, died of injuries sustained on March 14 when he was hit by Israeli army gunfire while attempting to obtain flour in a humanitarian aid delivery southeast of Gaza City, according to the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes, the Turkish state-owned Anadolu Agency, and the Palestine Chronicle. El-Reefi used his Instagram account to document life in Gaza before and during wartime.
