او در کنار فریدون عباسی دوانی، سید امیرحسین فقهی و عبدالحمید مینوچهر، از برترین دانشمندان دانش هسته‌ای ایران به‌شمار می‌آمد که همچون خاری در چشم دشمنان ایران بودند. چنان‌که رسانه‌های صهیونیستی او را مغز متفکر طراحی چاشنی در دانش هسته‌ای می‌خواندند و او را با تهمت پدر طراحی چاشنی بمب هسته‌ای سال‌ها دنبال می‌کردند.
سعید برجی، بامداد روز آدینه ۲۳ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۴ و تنها یک روز پیش از جشن بزرگ غدیر خم، همراه با دیگر دوستان دانشمند خود، فریدون عباسی دوانی، سید امیرحسین فقهی، عبدالحمید مینوچهر، محمدمهدی طهرانچی، علی بکایی کریمی، منصور عسگری، اکبر مطلبی‌زاده، احمدرضا ذوالفقاری، در یورش ددمنشانه رژیم صهیونیستی به خاک جمهوری اسلامی ایران، به شهادت رسید.
