Israeli warplanes targeted Al-Hassan Mosque in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, on November 16th, killing 16 people and injuring more than 7 others. The bodies of approximately 12 victims were recovered from inside the mosque and from the home of the Dakhakhni family in November 2023, resulting in the deaths of more than 15 Palestinian civilians. Some of them were buried in the Al-Batsh cemetery, while the bodies of a number of people remain trapped under the rubble of the destroyed mosque. As for the injured, at least seven members of the Dakhakhni family sustained varying degrees of injuries, including four serious injuries and three cases of multiple fractures. All of the injured were women and children, and they were transferred to the Baptist Hospital to receive available treatment.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor was able to verify the identities of ten of the deceased victims, including a child, a woman, and eight men, two of whom were elderly. The identities of some of the victims killed are still unknown, as their bodies were torn to pieces or remain under the rubble to this day. The investigation revealed that the victims belonged to several families, including Maher Sadiq Mustafa Karim (57 years old) from the Karim family, and his son-in-law, Raed Awad Abu Madkour (40 years old), in addition to two displaced people residing in his home: Ahmed Youssef Eid Al-Abbasi (34 years old), a pharmacist, and his brother, Mustafa Youssef Eid Al-Abbasi (28 years old), a general practitioner. Omar Rizq Ali Antiz (65 years old), Mazen Jamil Matar Al-Ghafri (54 years old), and Abdul Rahman Saeed Al-Batsh (70 years old).
The victims also included a member of the Sakani family, but the monitoring team was unable to verify his identity.
As for those outside the mosque, the victims fell inside the house of the Dakhakhni family, which is adjacent to the mosque. They are the grandfather, Jamal Muhammad Salem Al-Dakhakhni (56 years old), and his son's wife. Jumana Al-Dakhakhni (Siyam) (26 years old), and her granddaughter, the child Mira Wafi Zakri Al-Suwaireki, who did not exceed one year and four months of age.

وتمكـن المرصـد األورومتوسـطي لحقـوق اإلنسـان مـن التحقـق مـن هويـات 10 مـن الضحايـا القتلـى، بينهـم طفلـة،
وامــرأة، و8 رجــال، مــن بينهــم اثنــان مــن كبــار الســن. ومــا تــزال هويــات بعــض الضحايــا القتلــى غيــر معروفــة، حيــث
تحولـت جثامينهـم إلـى أشالء أو بقيـت تحـت األنقـاض حتـى اآلن. وكشـفت التحقيقـات أن الضحايـا ينتمـون إلـى عـائالت
متعـددة، مـن بينهـم »ماهـر صـادق مصطفـى ُُكريـم« )57 عاًًمـا( مـن عائلـة ُُكريـم، وزوج ابنتـه »رائـد عـوض أبـو مدكـور«
)40 عاًًمـا(، إضافـة إلـى اثنيـن مـن النازحيـن فـي منزلـه، وهمـا »أحمـد يوسـف عيـد العباسـي« )34 عاًًمـا(، وهـو طبيـب
صيدلـي، وشـقيقه »مصطفـى يوسـف عيـد العباسـي« )28 عاًًمـا(، وهـو طبيـب عـام. كمـا ضمـت قائمـة القتلـى المسـن
»عمـر رزق علـي انطيـز« )65 عاًًمـا(، و«مـازن جميـل مطـر الغفـري« )54 عاًًمـا(، و«عبـد الرحمـن سـعيد البطـش« )70 عاًًمـا(.
وشـملت الضحايـا شـخًًصا مـن عائلـة السـكني، لكـن فريـق المرصـد لـم يتمكـن مـن التحقـق مـن هويتـه.
أمــا مــن خــارج المســجد، فقــد ســقط الضحايــا داخــل منــزل عائلــة الدخاخنــي المالصــق للمســجد، وهــم الجــد »جمــال
