The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that a doctor was injured by Israeli drone fire targeting the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. Suggested Topics

Ministry spokesman Dr. Ashraf al-Qudra said that an Israeli drone fired at the doctors' room in the surgery department on the third floor of the Nasser Medical Complex, moderately wounding an emergency physician.

Al-Qudra stressed that the situation at the Nasser Medical Complex is catastrophic and extremely worrying, and that there is a state of panic among those present.

The Ministry stated that the Israeli occupation is asking the management of the Nasser Medical Complex to evacuate the remaining displaced persons, noting that more than 1,500 displaced persons remain inside the medical complex.

It clarified that 190 Nasser Medical Complex staff and 299 of their family members remain inside, adding that 273 immobile patients and 327 companions remain in the Nasser Medical Complex's departments.

The Ministry noted that among the patients at Nasser Medical Complex are 18 patients in intensive care, 3 children in the nursery, and 35 kidney dialysis patients.

It stressed that sewage is flooding the emergency room, and that coordination is needed to maintain the sewage network. It confirmed that medical and non-medical waste is accumulating in the departments and hospital grounds, threatening a health disaster.

The Ministry indicated that a countdown has begun before the generators stop working within 72 hours at most, and that food is running out for staff, patients, and displaced persons.

It confirmed that there is a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies for intensive care, operating rooms, emergency rooms, and the nursery. It also confirmed that there is a severe shortage of drinking water, personal hygiene water, and kidney dialysis due to the targeting and damage of water tanks, and the inability to maintain them.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip called on all international organizations to take immediate action to protect Nasser Medical Complex and its residents, and to provide food, baby formula, medicine, and fuel.

وقال الناطق باسم الوزارة، الدكتور أشرف القدرة، إن مُسيرة إسرائيلية أطلقت النار على غرفة الأطباء بقسم الجراحة في الطابق الثالث بمُجمع ناصر الطبي، وأصابت أحد أطباء الطوارئ بجروح متوسطة.

وشدد القدرة على أن الوضع كارثي ومقلق للغاية في مجمع ناصر الطبي، وعلى أن هناك حالة من الذعر بين المتواجدين فيه. 

وذكرت الوزارة أن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي يطلب من إدارة مجمع ناصر الطبي إخلاء من تبقى من النازحين، لافتة إلى أن أكثر من 1500 نازح لا يزالون داخل المجمع الطبي.

وأوضحت أن 190 من كوادر مجمع ناصر الطبي، و299 من أفراد عائلاتهم لا يزالون بداخله، مُضيفة أن 273 مريضًا لا يستطيعون الحركة و327 مرافقًا لا يزالون متواجدين في أقسام مجمع ناصر الطبي. 

ولفتت الوزارة إلى أن من بين المرضى المتواجدين في مجمع ناصر الطبي 18 مريضًا في العناية المركزة، و3 أطفال في الحضانة، و35 مريض غسيل كلى. 

وشددت على أن مياه الصرف الصحي تغمر قسم الطوارئ، وهناك حاجة لتنسيق لصيانة شبكة الصرف الصحي، وأكدت تكدّس النفايات الطبية وغير الطبية في الأقسام وساحات المستشفى، مما ينذر بكارثة صحية.

وأشارت الوزارة إلى بدء العد التنازلي لتوقف المولدات الكهربائية خلال 72 ساعة على أقصى حدّ، وإلى نفاد الطعام لدى الطواقم والمرضى والنازحين.

وأكدت أن هناك نقصا حادا في الأدوية والمستهلكات الطبية للعناية المركزة، والعمليات، والطوارئ، والحضانة، كما أكدت أن هناك نقصا حادًّا في مياه الشرب ومياه النظافة الشخصية، وغسيل الكلى، نتيجة استهداف خزانات المياه وتعطلها، وعدم القدرة على صيانتها.

وطالبت وزارة الصحة في قطاع غزة كافة المؤسسات الدولية، بالعمل الفوري على حماية مجمع ناصر الطبي والمتواجدين فيه، وتوفير الطعام وحليب الأطفال والدواء والوقود.
