This morning (Wednesday) the family is appealing to the public and asking for prayers for her recovery. The difficult incident occurred yesterday (Tuesday) shortly before 9:00 PM. A rocket launched from the Gaza Strip directly hit a bus on Sokolov Street in Holon. When the alarm sounded, the mother rushed to get her children out of the car and find a safe place. The twin brother was hit in the leg, and the girl was seriously injured when shrapnel hit her neck. The toddler was evacuated to Wolfson Hospital suffering from a serious injury to her carotid artery. During the night, doctors fought for her life, and after a lengthy surgery, she was out of danger. "There is no doubt that she was very lucky," said Dr. Hagai Dekel, director of the heart department at Wolfson Hospital. "She suffered from an injury to her carotid artery and damage to an area with many blood vessels. We treated her and removed shrapnel, and now we are waiting for her to recover." The girl is expected to undergo another surgery later, and her family is calling on the public this morning (Wednesday) to pray for her. "This is a terrible disaster and we are all trying to recover," says her aunt, adding: "We ask everyone to pray for Orian, daughter of Liane Shlomit. We need the grace of heaven and everyone's prayers."
