Israeli forces killed two Red Crescent workers whose ambulances were heading to the Al-Mahdi military base in northwestern Urmia after explosions were reported there, Tasnim news agency said.

"Eyewitnesses reported severe blasts that caused extensive damage near the base," Tasnim reported.

The Red Crescent said rescue forces and ambulances "came under direct Israeli attack."
