On Saturday morning, June 21, Israeli media reported that Saeed Izadi, a senior commander of the IRGC Quds Force who was said to have played a key role in providing financial and arms support to Hamas before the October 7 attack, was killed in an airstrike on a building in the city of Qom. The operation was carried out by the Israeli army and, according to the Israeli defense minister, was a major victory for the country’s military intelligence.
“Saeed Izadi was the main person responsible for equipping and providing financial support to Hamas before the October 7 massacre. This operation is a major achievement for our army and military intelligence and is considered a major achievement for the victims and hostages. Israel’s long arm will reach all its enemies,” the statement said.
“Izadi was not only responsible for financing and smuggling arms to these groups in Gaza and the West Bank, but also led regional coordination between Palestinian groups, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, and the former government of Bashar al-Assad,” the Israeli defense minister said in a statement.

Saeed Izadi was targeted in an attack on a residential building in Qom. A 16-year-old boy was also killed in the attack and at least four others were injured. The attack reportedly targeted the fourth floor of the building.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported a missile attack on central parts of the country, including the Isfahan nuclear facility. According to the Fars news agency, the governor of Isfahan confirmed that the facility was targeted but claimed that no dangerous materials had leaked from it.
The Israeli military also announced that in a separate attack, it targeted and killed Aminpour Jodaki, commander of the IRGC’s 2nd Drone Brigade. According to the Israeli military statement, he was responsible for coordinating hundreds of drone operations against Israeli territory from the Ahvaz region and had assumed a more key role after Taherpour was killed in the June 13 attack.

وزیر دفاع اسرابیل، در بیانیه‌ای گفت: «سعید ایزدی مسوول اصلی تجهیز و حمایت مالی از حماس پیش از قتل‌عام ۷ اکتبر بود. این عملیات دستاوردی بزرگ برای ارتش و اطلاعات نظامی ماست و تحقق عدالت برای قربانیان و گروگان‌ها محسوب می‌شود. بازوی بلند اسرائیل به تمامی دشمنانش خواهد رسید.»
در این بیانیه آمده که «ایزدی نه تنها مسوول تأمین مالی و قاچاق تسلیحات برای این گروه‌ها در غزه و کرانه باختری بود، بلکه هماهنگی‌های منطقه‌ای بین گروه‌های فلسطینی، حزب‌الله لبنان و دولت سابق بشار اسد را نیز هدایت می‌کرد.»












سعید ایزدی در حمله به ساختمانی مسکونی در قم هدف قرار گرفت. در پی این ترور، یک نوجوان ۱۶ ساله، نیز جان خود را از دست داده و دست‌کم چهار نفر دیگر زخمی شده‌اند. گزارش‌ها حاکی از آن است که این حمله، طبقه چهارم ساختمان را هدف قرار داده است.
در همین حال، رسانه‌های ایران از حمله موشکی به مناطق مرکزی کشور از جمله تاسیسات هسته‌ای اصفهان خبر داده‌اند. بر اساس گزارش خبرگزاری فارس، استاندار اصفهان تایید کرده که این مرکز مورد هدف قرار گرفته اما ادعا کرده هیچ ماده خطرناکی از آن نشت نکرده است.
همچنین ارتش اسراییل اعلام کرده که در حمله‌ای جداگانه، «امین‌پور جودکی» فرمانده تیپ دوم پهپادی نیروی هوافضای سپاه را هدف قرار داده و کشته است. بنا بر بیانیه ارتش اسراییل، او مسوول هماهنگی صدها عملیات پهپادی علیه خاک اسراییل از منطقه اهواز بوده و پس از کشته شدن «طاهر پور» در حمله روز ۱۳ ژوئن، نقش کلیدی‌تری به عهده گرفته بود.
