رسانه‌های رسمی جمهوری اسلامی روز شنبه ۳۱ خرداد گزارش دادند که «ایثار طباطبایی قمشه»، از متخصصان مرتبط با برنامه هسته‌ای ایران، در پی حمله‌ای هدفمند توسط ارتش اسراییل کشته شده است. به‌گفته منابع داخلی، این حمله در محل سکونت او صورت گرفته و همسرش، منصوره حاجی سالم، نیز در این حمله در کنار اون جان خود را از دست داده است.
