ما حصل في جديدة مرجعيون هو أن مسيرة استهدفت دراجة نارية تقل شخصين وأصابت سائقها واستشهد على الفور، واصابت السيدة هند مسعد بجروح التي كانت متواجدة في المكان، وعند محاولة هروب الشخص الثاني الذي كان على الدراجة النارية، والاحتماء بأحد المباني، تجمع شباب البلدة لمساعدة الجرحى وتفقدهم، اغارت المسيرة مرة ثانية عليهم مما أدى إلى استشهاد الشخص الذي كان على الدراجة وإصابة العسكري حبيب ابو مراد في قوى أمن الداخلي والمواطن جريس كسرواني بجروح نقلا الى احدى المستشفيات في النبطية، واستشهاد شخص ثالث من بلدة دبين لم تحدد هويته بعد.
