Two months ago, specifically on September 25, another massacre took place in Joun, which also targeted a residential building housing displaced people in Daher al-Mutal. The owner of the building, Khodr Raad, his wife Zeinab Talal Qataya, and their son Hassan were killed, as well as the Syrian mother from Maaloula, Areej Battouz, and her two children, Qusay and Rital Battouz, and the displaced mother from Jebchit, Iman Jafal, and her two children from the Khadra family.

وقبل شهرين، وتحديدًا في 25 أيلول الماضي، وقعت مجزرة أخرى في جون استهدفت أيضًا مبنى سكنيًا يؤوي نازحين في ضهر المطلّ، استشهد فيها صاحب المبنى خضر رعد وزوجته زينب طلال قطايا وابنهما حسن، والأم السورية من معلولا أريج بتوز وطفليها قصي وريتال بتوز، والأمّ النازحة من جبشيت إيمان جفال وطفليها من آل خضرا.
