The National Electric Corporation denounces the vile attack perpetrated against the National Electric System, a direct aggression against national sovereignty and an attack against institutional stability and the daily lives of Venezuelans.

STATEMENT

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, through the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), denounces before the Venezuelan people and the international community the criminal attack perpetrated against the National Electric System (SEN), as part of a planned maneuver that resulted in the kidnapping of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the First Lady, Cilia Flores.

This act constitutes a direct aggression against national sovereignty and an attack against institutional stability and the daily lives of Venezuelans.

The attack severely damaged the Panamericana 69 kV and Escuela Militar 4.8 kV substations, taking the OAM-Vega Caricuao-Panamericana 1 and 2 69 kV and Junquito-Panamericana 1 and 2 69 kV lines out of service.

Thanks to the immediate, committed, and deeply loyal deployment of our workers, the electrical infrastructure in Granada, Caricuao, Paraíso, Pinar, and Candilito was restored, while restoration efforts continue in Rincón, Escuela Militar, Chaguaramo, Santa Mónica, Colinas de Santa Mónica, Coche, and Metro La Paz.

At this time, the outage persists in the following areas: Los Rosales and Prado de María, Cementerio General del Sur, Los Carmenes, Los Castaños, Colinas de Las Acacias, Los Rosales, Gran Colombia, Las Luces, Los Próceres, Santa Mónica, Ciudad Universitaria, Colina de Los Chaguaramos, Los Chaguaramos, Valle Abajo, Fuerte Tiuna, Cumbres de Curumo, Colinas de Bello Monte, Colinas de Santa Mónica, and San Agustín del Sur.

Additionally, the following residential areas are affected: Coracrevi, La Rinconada, Carlos Delgado Chalbaud, Veredas de Coche, Alberto Ravell, Longaray, Los Jardines del Valle, Mariscal de Ayacucho, Radio Valle, San Andrés II, San Antonio, and San Pedro; and the following neighborhoods: Las Mayas, Cochecito, Nuevo Vegas, Bruzual, Canicito, Las Malvinas, Los Cardones, San Andrés, Vista Alegre, Cerro Grande, Zamora, and El Calvario.

In accordance with the Geneva Conventions and Additional Protocol I, as well as the Charter of the United Nations, this aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, intentionally depriving the population of essential services. The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will not yield to the criminal maneuvers that seek to subjugate the people; and with the strength of truth, the spirit of resistance, and unwavering unity, we will continue to defend our people's sacred right to live in peace.

La Corporación Eléctrica Nacional denuncia el vil ataque perpetrado en contra del Sistema Eléctrico :Nacional, una agresión directa contra la soberanía nacional y un atentado contra la estabilidad institucional y la vida cotidiana de los venezolanos.

La República Bolivariana de Venezuela, a traves de la Corporación Eléctrica Nacional (CORPOELEC), denuncia ante el pueblo venezolano y la comunidad internacional el ataque criminal perpetrado contra el Sistema Eléctrico Nacional (SEN), como parte de una maniobra planificada que derivó en el secuestro del presidente de la República, Nicolás Maduro, y de la primera dama, Cilia Flores.



Este hecho constituye una agresión directa contra la soberanía nacional y un atentado contra la estabilidad institucional y la vida cotidiana de los venezolanos.



El ataque afectó gravemente las subestaciones Panamericana 69 Kv y Escuela Militar 4.8 kV, dejando fuera de servicio las líneas OAM-Vega Caricuao-Panamericana 1 y 2 69 kV, y Junquito- Panamericana 1 y 2 69 kV.



Gracias al despliegue inmediato, comprometido y profundamente leal de nuestros trabajadores, se logró la recuperación de las infraestructuras eléctricas Granada, Caricuao, Paraiso, Pinar y Candilito, mientras continúan las labores de restablecimiento en Rincón, Escuela Militar, Chaguaramo, Santa Monica, Colinas de Santa Monica, Coche y Metro La Paz.



A esta hora, la afectación persiste en los sectores Los Rosales y Prado de María, Cementerio General del Sur, Los Carmenes, Los Castaños, Colinas de Las Acacias, Los Rosales, Gran Colombia, Las Luces, Los Próceres, Santa Mónica, Ciudad Universitaria, Colina de Los Chaguaramos, Los Chaguaramos, Valle Abajo, Fuerte Tiuna, Cumbres de Curumo, Colinas de Bello Monte, Colinas de Santa Monica y San Agustin del Sur.



Asimismo, las urbanizaciones Coracrevi, La Rinconada, Carlos Delgado Chalbaud, Veredas de Coche, Alberto Ravell, Longaray, Los Jardines del Valle, Mariscal de Ayacucho, Radio Valle, San Andrés II, San Antonio y San Pedro; y los sectores populares Las Mayas, Cochecito, Nuevo Vegas, Bruzual, Canicito, Las Malvinas, Los Cardones, San Andrés, Vista Alegre, Cerro Grande, Zamora, EI Calvario.



De conformidad con los Convenios de Ginebra y su Protocolo Adicional I, así como la Carta de las Naciones Unidas, esta agresión constituye una violación flagrante del derecho internacional humanitario, al privar de manera intencional a la población de servicios esenciales.
