With hearts filled with sorrow and pride, Urgent Palestine News Agency mourns its correspondent, journalist Mustafa Khader Bahar, who was martyred on Sunday, March 30, 2024, after being targeted by a direct Israeli bombing near Kuwait Roundabout, south of Gaza City, while covering events on the ground.

The martyred colleague, aged 32, was a prominent correspondent and journalist with Urgent Palestine News Agency. He dedicated his life to conveying the truth and documenting the suffering of the Palestinian people under the ongoing Israeli aggression. His martyrdom represents a great loss to the free Palestinian media, which strives, despite the risks, to document the crimes and violations committed against civilians.

Condemnation and Denunciation
Urgent Palestine News Agency condemns in the strongest terms this heinous crime and holds the Israeli occupation fully responsible for targeting our colleague Mustafa Bahar. The agency affirms that targeting journalists constitutes a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law. The agency calls on human rights and press organizations to take urgent action to protect Palestinian journalists and hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its repeated crimes against Palestinian media.

Government Media Office Statement
In an official press statement, the Government Media Office in Gaza announced that the martyrdom of journalist Mustafa Bahar brings the number of journalists killed since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza to 188. The office affirmed that these crimes against media professionals aim to silence the voice of truth, calling on the international community to take immediate steps to hold the occupation accountable and stop the targeting of journalists.

May God have mercy on the martyr Mustafa Bahar and grant him paradise, and may He grant his family, loved ones, and the Palestinian journalistic community patience and solace.

بقلوب مليئة بالحزن والفخر، تنعى وكالة عاجل فلسطين مراسلها الصحفي مصطفى خضر بحر، الذي استُشهد يوم الأحد الموافق 30 مارس 2024، إثر استهدافه بقصف إسرائيلي مباشر قرب دوار الكويت جنوب مدينة غزة، أثناء تغطيته للأحداث الميدانية.

الزميل الشهيد، البالغ من العمر 32 عامًا، كان يعمل مراسلًا وصحفيًا بارزًا لدى وكالة عاجل فلسطين، وقد كرّس حياته لنقل الحقيقة وتوثيق معاناة الشعب الفلسطيني تحت العدوان الإسرائيلي المتواصل. استشهاده يمثل خسارة كبيرة للإعلام الفلسطيني الحر، الذي يسعى رغم المخاطر لتوثيق الجرائم والانتهاكات بحق المدنيين.

إدانة واستنكار
تُدين وكالة عاجل فلسطين بأشد العبارات هذه الجريمة النكراء، وتحمل الاحتلال الإسرائيلي المسؤولية الكاملة عن استهداف الزميل مصطفى بحر، مؤكدة أن استهداف الصحفيين يشكل انتهاكًا صارخًا للقوانين الدولية والإنسانية.

وفي بيان صحفي رسمي، أعلن المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي بغزة، أن استشهاد الصحفي مصطفى بحر يرفع عدد الشهداء الصحفيين منذ بدء العدوان الإسرائيلي على غزة إلى 188 شهيدًا وشهيدة. وأكد المكتب أن هذه الجرائم بحق الإعلاميين تهدف إلى إسكات صوت الحقيقة، داعيًا المجتمع الدولي إلى اتخاذ خطوات فورية لمحاسبة الاحتلال ووقف استهداف الصحفيين.
