This morning, Monday, October 30, Palestinian journalist Nazmi al-Nadim and several members of his family were killed when Israeli warplanes directly targeted his home in the al-Zeitoun neighborhood in central Gaza City.

According to local sources, journalist Nadim continued to cover events and report on the situation in the Gaza Strip during the period of the Israeli occupation's blackout of communications and internet access in the northern and central Gaza Strip over the past two days, making him and his family vulnerable to targeting.

A number of members of Nazmi's family were killed along with Nazmi, including two of his sons: Hatem Saadi al-Nadim, Muhammad Fawzi al-Nadim, Ahmed Fawzi al-Nadim, Moaz Muhammad al-Nadim, Saadi Haidar al-Nadim, Bilal Haidar al-Nadim, Ahmed Nazmi al-Nadim, Saadi Nazmi al-Nadim, and Uday Abdul Rahman al-Nadim.

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate called on the Prosecutor General of the International Criminal Court, Mr. Karim Khan, to announce the opening of an investigation into Israeli war crimes committed against journalists.

استشهد صباح اليوم الاثنين 30 تشرين الأول/ اكتوبر الصحفي الفلسطيني نظمي النديم وعدد من افراد عائلته، جراء استهداف طيران الاحتلال " الإسرائيلي" منزله بشكل مباشر في منطقة حي الزيتون وسط مدينة غزّة.

وبحسب مصادر محليّة، فإنّ الصحفي نديم لم يتوقف عن تغطية الاحداث ونقل الوقائع في قطاع غزّة، خلال فترات قطع الاحتلال للاتصالات والانترنت عن مناطق شمال ووسط القطاع خلال اليومين الفائتين، ما جعله عرضة للاستهداف مع افراد عائلته.

وارتقى مع الصحفي نظمي عدداً من افراد اسرته من بينهم اثنين من ابنائه، وهم كلّ من (حاتم سعدي النديم، محمد فوزي النديم، احمد فوزي النديم، معاذ محمد النديم، سعدي حيدر النديم، بلال حيدر النديم احمد نظمي النديم، سعدي نظمي النديم، عدي عبد الرحمن النديم)

بدورها، طالبت نقابة الصحفيين الفلسطينيين النائب العام للمحكمة الجنائية الدوليةـ السيد كريم خان بالإعلان عن فتح التحقيق بجرائم الحرب "الإسرائيلية" المرتكبة بحق الصحفيين.
