On Saturday evening, Al-Aqsa TV journalist Mamdouh Quneita was killed after being shot in the head by an Israeli quadcopter while he was in the courtyard of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City.
In a statement issued by the Government Media Office, it was confirmed that with the death of journalist Quneita, the number of journalists killed since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 191.
The Government Media Office condemned in its statement the targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli occupation, holding it fully responsible for committing this heinous crime.
The office called on the international community and international organizations concerned with journalism worldwide to deter the occupation and prosecute it in international courts for its ongoing crimes, and to pressure it to stop the genocide and the killing and assassination of Palestinian journalists.

ارتقى مساء السبت الصحفي في قناة الأقصى الفضائية ممدوح قنيطة، إثر إصابته برصاصة في الرأس من طائرات كواد كابتر الصهيونية وذلك أثناء تواجده في ساحة مستشفى المعمداني بمدينة غزة
وفي بيان صادر عن المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي، أكد المكتب أنه وباستشهاد الصحفي قنيطة يرتفع عدد الشهداء الصحفيين إلى 191 صحفياً منذ بدء حرب الإبادة الجماعية على قطاع غزة.
المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي أدان في بيانه استهداف وقتل واغتيال الاحتلال "الصهيوني" للصحفيين الفلسطينيين، ونحمّله كامل المسؤولة عن ارتكاب هذه الجريمة النَّكراء.
وطالب المكتب المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات الدولية وذات العلاقة بالعمل الصحفي في العالم إلى ردع الاحتلال وملاحقته في المحاكم الدولية على جرائمه المتواصلة والضغط عليه لوقف جريمة الإبادة الجماعية، ووقف جريمة قتل واغتيال الصحفيين الفلسطينيين.
