An Israeli special force carried out a surprise field operation early Monday morning in the center of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the assassination of Ahmed Sarhan, a leader in the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, and the kidnapping of his wife and his 12-year-old son, Mohammed. According to Palestinian sources, the Israeli force infiltrated the area using a camouflaged civilian vehicle and women's clothing, and was able to storm the house where Sarhan was holed up, where he was executed in the field. Circulating photos from the scene show a weapons bag hidden inside a displaced persons' vehicle used as camouflage.

نفّذت قوة إسرائيلية خاصة، فجر اليوم الاثنين، عملية ميدانية مباغتة وسط مدينة خانيونس جنوب قطاع غزة، أسفرت عن اغتيال القيادي في ألوية الناصر صلاح الدين، أحمد سرحان، واختطاف زوجته وطفله محمد (12 عامًا).

ووفقًا لمصادر فلسطينية، تسللت القوة الإسرائيلية إلى المنطقة باستخدام مركبة مدنية مموّهة وملابس نسائية، وتمكنت من اقتحام المنزل الذي كان يتحصن فيه سرحان، حيث جرى إعدامه ميدانيًا بداخله. وتُظهر صور متداولة من موقع الحادث وجود حقيبة أسلحة مخفية داخل عربة نازحين استُخدمت للتمويه.
