With Hashem's death, the number of Palestinian journalists killed during the Israeli genocide since October 7, 2023, has risen to 206. In a statement, the non-governmental forum mourned journalist Alaa, who "ascended as a martyr" on Friday, succumbing to injuries sustained in a previous Israeli bombardment. It condemned the international silence and the failure to protect Palestinian journalists. The forum called for "enabling journalists to perform their professional duties in accordance with international laws and humanitarian conventions." For its part, the Government Media Office in Gaza mourned journalist Alaa, denouncing the systematic targeting of Palestinian journalists. The office called on the international community to "condemn the repeated crimes against journalists and media professionals in Gaza." It held Israel and all its supporters "fully responsible for these crimes against journalists." The government media office called on international organizations and relevant bodies involved in journalism to "take measures to legally prosecute the occupation for these crimes." With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 160,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.

غزة/ محمد ماجد/ الأناضولأعلن منتدى الإعلاميين الفلسطينيين، الجمعة، وفاة الصحفية آلاء أسعد هاشم، متأثرة بإصابتها في قصف إسرائيلي سابق على مدينة غزة خلال الإبادة الجماعية.وبوفاة هاشم، ترتفع إلى 206 أشخاص حصيلة الصحفيين الفلسطينيين الذين قتلوا خلال الإبادة الإسرائيلية منذ 7 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 2023.ونعى المنتدى غير الحكومي، في بيان، الصحفية آلاء، التي "ارتقت شهيدة"، الجمعة، متأثرة بإصابتها بقصف إسرائيلي سابق. وأدان الصمت الدولي والعجز عن حماية الصحفيين الفلسطينيين.وطالب المنتدى: "بتمكين الصحفيين من أداء واجبهم المهني وفقا للقوانين الدولية والمواثيق الإنسانية".من جهته، نعى المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي في غزة، الصحفية آلاء، مستنكرا الاستهداف الممنهج للصحفيين الفلسطينيين.ودعا المكتب، المجتمع الدولي إلى "إدانة الجرائم المتكررة بحق الصحفيين والإعلاميين في غزة".وحمّل إسرائيل وجميع الجهات الداعمة لها "المسؤولية الكاملة عن هذه الجرائم ضد الصحفيين".وطالب الإعلامي الحكومي، المنظمات الدولية والجهات المعنية بالعمل الصحفي "باتخاذ إجراءات لملاحقة الاحتلال قانونيا على عن هذه الجرائم".وبدعم أمريكي، ترتكب إسرائيل منذ 7 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 2023 إبادة جماعية بغزة خلفت أكثر من 160 ألف قتيل وجريح من الفلسطينيين، معظمهم أطفال ونساء، وما يزيد على 14 ألف مفقود.
