Today's martyr, a worker in the Nabatieh al-Fawqa municipality, Mahmoud Atwi, was killed by an Israeli drone while operating the municipality's artesian well in the Ali al-Taher forest.

Atwi was martyred near the site of his brother Mustafa Atwi's martyrdom years earlier during the Israeli occupation.

شهيد العدوان الإسرائيلي المستمر، لهذا اليوم، كان العامل في بلدية النبطية الفوقا الشهيد محمود عطوي. لاحقته مسيّرة إسرائيلية إلى حرش علي الطاهر حين كان يقوم بتشغيل البئر الإرتوازي التابع للبلدية.

استشهد عطوي بالقرب من موقع استشهاد شقيقه مصطفى عطوي، قبل سنوات، خلال الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.
