The Mujahideen Brigades, for its part, rejected the Israeli narrative and categorically denied Awad’s involvement in the killing of the Bibas family. “We reject the slander of the army spokesman, and his accusation that Commander Awad is responsible for the killing of the Bibas family, who were killed by the occupation army’s missiles,” the statement said. “These allegations are a blatant attempt to evade responsibility for the deliberate killing of Israeli prisoners, under direct orders from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” the statement added. The Brigades described these statements as “an attempt to cover up the ongoing crimes of genocide against the children, women, and elderly of Gaza,” stressing that “Awad’s blood will remain a beacon illuminating the path of resistance and liberation.”
