The imam and preacher of Al-Joulani Mosque and 33 other members of his family were killed Saturday evening after their home in the Gaza Strip was targeted.

Sources reported that Sheikh Arafat Al-Bahtini, also known as Abu Muhammad, the imam of Al-Joulani Mosque, was killed along with his wife, children, and 33 other members of the Al-Bahtini family after their family's tower in the Gaza Strip was targeted by Israeli airstrikes.

The sources added that the martyrs are: Youssef Naji Al-Hayek, Youssef Muhammad Al-Suweirki, Jamal Ahmed Al-Bahtini, Hamza Badr Al-Bahtini, Umm Alaa Al-Bahtini, her son Jihad, his wife, her grandson, and 23 other family members.

The sources confirmed that the rest of the Al-Bahtini family had left the tower minutes before the bombing after nearby areas were targeted, but the remaining 33 perished.

The tower, along with neighboring buildings, was completely destroyed in a major tragedy for the Al-Bahtini family, following accusations that one of its members was affiliated with the Hamas resistance movement.

وقالت مصادر ان إمام مسجد الجولاني الشيخ عرفات البهتيني "أبو محمد" توفي وزوجته وأبنائه و33 آخرون من ال البهتيني بعد استهداف برج العائلة في قطاع غزة بغارات لطيران العدوان الإسرائيلي .
وأضافت المصادر إن الشهداء هم : يوسف ناجي الحايك ، ويوسف محمد السويركي ، وجمال أحمد البهتيني ، وحمزة بدر البهتيني وام علاء البهتيني وابنها جهاد وزوجته وابن ابنها و 23 شهيد من العائلة .
وأكدت المصادر إن بقية أفراد أسرة البهتيني غادرت البرج قبيل القصف بدقائق بعد استهداف مناطق قريبة لكن البقية ال 33 قضوا نحبهم .
هذا وتعرض البرج للدمار الشامل مع المباني المجاورة في فاجعة كبير لآل البهتيني بعد اتهام الأسرة بانظام أحد أفرادها في حركة المقاومة حماس .
