A Lebanese citizen was killed today, Thursday, in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health stated that an Israeli drone attacked the Ali al-Taher Forest area in the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, killing a citizen.

Earlier, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike, targeting an employee of the Nabatieh al-Fawqa Municipality while he was performing his work in the Ali al-Taher area.

It explained that while "the employee, Mahmoud Atwi, was heading to the well in the Ali al-Taher Forest to supply water to homes, he was targeted on his motorcycle with a missile from an enemy drone, leading to his martyrdom."

وقالت وزارة الصحة العامة اللبنانية إن طيران الاحتلال المسير أغار على منطقة حرج "علي الطاهر" في بلدة النبطية الفوقا، ما أدى لاستشهاد مواطن.

وفي وقت سابق، أفادت وكالة الأنباء اللبنانية بأن مسيرة إسرائيلية نفذت عدوانا جويا، حيث استهدفت موظفا في بلدية النبطية الفوقا بغارة أثناء قيامه بعمله في منطقة علي الطاهر.

وأوضحت أنه أثناء توجه "الموظف محمود عطوي إلى البئر الموجودة في حرش علي الطاهر، لتحويل المياه إلى المنازل، تم استهدافه على دراجته النارية بصاروخ من مسيرة معادية، ما أدى إلى استشهاده".
