Palestinian journalist Maysara Salah, from the Quds News Network, died on Sunday of his wounds after being shot by the Israeli occupation forces in the northern Gaza Strip, according to a breaking news report from Al Jazeera a short while ago.

He called on the international community, international organizations, and those involved in journalistic work around the world to deter the occupation and prosecute it in international courts for its ongoing crimes. He also called on the occupation forces to put an end to the crime of genocide and the killing and assassination of Palestinian journalists.

The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip by land, sea, and air since October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of 44,363 Palestinian citizens, most of whom are women and children, and the injury of 105,070 others. This is a preliminary toll, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.

استشهد، اليوم الأحد، الصحفي الفلسطيني، ميسرة صلاح، من شبكة «قدس» الإخبارية، متأثراً بجروحه بعد إصابته برصاص الاحتلال شمال قطاع غزة، وذلك حسبما أفادت قناة الجزيرة في خبر عاجل منذ قليل.

وطالب المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات الدولية وذات العلاقة بالعمل الصحفي في العالم إلى ردع الاحتلال وملاحقته في المحاكم الدولية على جرائمه المتواصلة والضغط عليه لوقف جريمة الإبادة الجماعية، ووقف جريمة قتل واغتيال الصحفيين الفلسطينيين.

وتواصل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي عدوانها على قطاع غزة، برًا وبحرًا وجوًا، منذ السابع من أكتوبر 2023، ما أسفر عن استشهاد 44، 363 مواطنًا فلسطينيًا، أغلبهم من النساء والأطفال، وأصيب 105، 070 آخرين، في حصيلة غير نهائية، إذ لا يزال آلاف الضحايا تحت الركام وفي الطرقات ولا تستطيع طواقم الإسعاف والإنقاذ الوصول إليهم.
