The Israeli army and the Shin Bet security service announced that they had eliminated the commander of Hamas's Shujaiya Battalion, Mohammed al-Ajla, during a raid carried out last Sunday evening in the Shujaiya area of the Gaza Strip. This, according to the Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, via the X platform, comes just a week after the killing of his predecessor, Haitham Rizq Abdel Karim Sheikh Khalil, the former commander of the battalion, as part of the ongoing efforts to dismantle the command structure of Hamas's battalions in Gaza. During the war, al-Ajla was responsible for commanding the combat support company in the Shujaiya Battalion, where he oversaw the supply of combat equipment to the battalion members to carry out attacks against the Israeli army. This operation marks the fifth time a Shujaiya Battalion commander has been killed since the outbreak of the war, and the third since the launch of an operation targeting Hamas's military and command structure.

أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي وجهاز الأمن العام "الشاباك"، بأنهما تمكنا من تصفية قائد كتيبة الشجاعية التابعة لحركة حماس، محمد العجلة، وذلك خلال غارة نُفذت مساء الأحد الماضي على منطقة الشجاعية في قطاع غزة. ويأتي ذلك، بحسب ما أعلن الناطق باسم الجيش الإسرائيلي أفيخاي أدرعي عبر منصة "إكس"، بعد أسبوع فقط من مقتل سلفه، هيثم رزق عبد الكريم الشيخ خليل، القائد السابق للكتيبة، في إطار الجهود المستمرة لتفكيك البنية القيادية لكتائب حماس في غزة. وتولى العجلة خلال فترة الحرب مسؤولية قيادة سرية الدعم الحربي في كتيبة الشجاعية، حيث كان يشرف على تزويد عناصر الكتيبة بالوسائل القتالية اللازمة لتنفيذ هجمات ضد الجيش الإسرائيلي. وتُعد هذه العملية هي المرة الخامسة التي يتم فيها مقتل قائد لكتيبة الشجاعية منذ اندلاع الحرب، والثالثة منذ انطلاق عملية تستهدف بنية حماس العسكرية والقيادية.
