The Hijazi family had no idea that the morning of March 25th would be different from any other day of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. It was the day their lives and the lives of their son, Mohammed, changed completely, and his future was altered.

Seven-year-old Mohammed went downstairs to play with his peers in the Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip. Moments later, the family was shocked to hear the sound of an explosion, which caused their child to lose both eyes. One eye was removed, while the other is gradually improving.

"محمد" ذو السبعة أعوام نزل أسفل منزل عائلته الواقع في مخيم جباليا شمال قطاع غزة، من أجل اللعب مع أقرانه، لتفاجئ العائلة بعد لحظات بسماع دوي انفجار كان السبب في فقدان طفلهم لكلتا عينيه، حيث تم استئصال إحدى عينيه بينما تتحسن الأخرى بشكل تدريجي.
