Today, you leave us and depart, but your presence remains among us. You were preparing to continue your academic path and obtain your doctorate, but God decreed that you should receive the highest degree for yourself. Today, you depart and join your father and brother, who were martyred during the current invasion of the northern Gaza Strip. You refused to leave despite what happened to the north, and you met your Lord patiently, clinging to your land. My loyal friend, beloved, and dear Muhammad Hijazi Abu Malik, a martyr on the proud land of the north. May God accept you, beloved, in the highest heavens and elevate your status.

ألم تكتفِ يا موت من خطف أحبابنا ؟ كم الثمن الذي تريده لتكتفي؟ ما عاد لنا قوة على تحمل فراق الأحباب ، أبو مالك ومن منا لا يعرفك، طيب القلب فصيح اللسان والكلام، صاحب الهمة العالية والسيط الحسن، قول وفعل شديد عند حقه لا يتنازل عنه مهما كانت النتائج، إن قلت بأنك كنت نبراسًا ومنارة وقامة علمية وأدبية فذلك قليل عليك، اليوم تغادرنا وترحل ويبقى طيفك حاضر بيننا، كنت تستعد لمواصلة طريقك العلمية والحصول على رسالة الدكتوراة، لكن قدر الله بأن تأخذ الشهادة الأسمى لك، اليوم تغادر وتلتحق بوالدك وشقيقك اللذان ارتقيا خلال الاجتياح الحالي لشمال القطاع، رفضت الخروج رغم ما حل بالشمال ولقيت ربك صابراً متشبثًا بأرضك.
